Thank you for considering Peter Redhead for your special day. I am based near Peterborough and cover the UK including; Cambridgshire, Lincolnshire, Rutland, Northants.
Below you will find a guide to how I work and answers to some questions. I hope you find this helpful.
If you’d like to know my availability for your wedding day or would like to ask a question just send me a message or call.
What do and don’t you do?
It is your wedding day and I don’t run, interfere with or try to take centre stage. My photography style and approach means that with the exception of family group shots and loosely directed couple shots I do not pose you or your guests. I combine these photographs with my natural documentary coverage throughout your wedding day.
How much do you cost?
The question I am asked most often. My current wedding photography prices are from £995.00*
All commissions include:
Options
*Discounts may apply to some midweek and out season weddings, please call to discuss
Why are there no Package prices?
I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach, so there are no bundled packages which include things you won’t want or need. As with many things in life you have the luxury of choice, so there isn’t definitive answer to a single cost.
Instead…
I talk with you and we work out the right coverage and options for your wedding day and budget.
A simple and flexible pricing approach means you control and choose where to invest your wedding photography budget.
Meaning, you may choose the correct photographer and photography style with a package and fee suitable for your budget and your wedding day.
Typically a short discussion will fill in any gaps and answer your questions, ensuring you have the facts upon which to base your decision.
Options and considerations can include; What time should we start and finish, and why? Do you want a wedding album? Do you want or need parent albums? Would you like a photobooth in the evening? What if your day runs over, will you stay, if so how much? etc etc
Do you travel?
Yes I regularly work throughout the UK and am commissioned to photograph at many different wedding venues. It is my preference to keep my work fresh and innovative so working in new and varying venues is great.
Can we print from the DVD of images you provide?
Yes, you have the rights to reproduce images for personal use including printing, emailing and sharing through social media like Facebook. I retain copyright of the images and ask that any of your suppliers contact me directly if they wish to use photographs from your wedding day.
How do we book you?
To secure your date first call me or use the contact page to touch base,
Many clients prefer to arrange to meet in their own home where we can view albums and talk through your day. Alternatively you are welcome to me and discuss your wedding over a coffee.
I will send you a full quotation and contract. A completed booking contract form and booking fee of £250 will then secure your booking.
I’ve been quoted £500 with all images on a disc, why do you charge more?
I am a full time professional photographer, and photography is my livelihood. I have a record of consistently producing professional quality images in greatly different environments and lighting situations. In addition; I execute my work with sensitivity to those around me, creativity, speed and proficiency.
I have developed my photography style, knowledge and wealth of experience by photographing many many weddings over the past 5 years, all of which is evidenced by the galleries, blog and videos on this website. My experience goes beyond photography and I’m experienced in all aspects of wedding day etiquette.
As a professional wedding photographer I provide the full and comprehensive no compromise professional service you should expect.
Not only do I pride myself on making the very best images on your wedding day, but I also invest a lot of time both before your wedding day and after.
I budget to continually invest in, and use professional grade camera equipment and I’m always looking to further improve my technique and try new ideas.
What do you do in the lead up to our wedding?
About a month before your wedding day we’ll meet up to run through the wedding day and timings. We will also complete a wedding photography plan which ensures I have all the correct information like; group shot list, addresses, emergency contact numbers etc.
Do you meet us beforehand
Many of my couples lead busy lives, where ever possible I like to meet with my clients before their wedding day in person or at least via skype. We always schedule this in and if combined with an engagement shoot provides a perfect opportunity to get to know each other a little.
Do you take group shots?
Group shots are an important part of your wedding day, they provide a record of families who are rarely all together in one place.
I understand that timing is very important and you will still enjoy your drinks reception and have time to chat with your guests.
With your involvement we plan to typically take about 8 group photos lasting about 30mins with emphasis on quality not quantity,
Do you photograph details
Yes, I will aim to photograph the details you’ve spent time researching and creating. I am comprehensive but ensure the focus of your coverage is not overlooked
Do you photograph in colour as well as black & white?
The short answer is yes. You will see from my blog, wedding galleries and videos that black & images are selectively created throughout my work. I shoot with professional spec Canon & Fuji equipment, and undertake all of the editing myself for things like color correction and cropping. I also select and convert images to the black & white and toned images you will see throughout all of my work.
What happens after our wedding day?
I will begin the process of editing and post-producing your wedding day photographs. They will be placed in an online gallery usually 10 days following your wedding day. If you have specified an album the design process will commence and ordered following a discussion and your approval. The high resolution digital negatives are posted approx. 6 weeks after your wedding day
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes, I carry backup cameras and lenses.
Are you insured?
Yes, Public Liability and public indemnity.
What else should we know?
I’m 36, when I’m not working I spend as much time as possible together with my fantastic and wonderfully supportive wife Vicki, Charlie our little boy and Alfie our slightly bonkers border Collie. During quieter times of the year you’ll often find us holed up in a little cottage and walking on the beaches down in Devon or Cornwall where I spent my younger years studying at University.
