For me photography is more than a job, I live breath and sleep photography. It won’t then surprise you to learn that for me an image is more than just a visual record of a point in time.

When I shoot weddings there are many things which I observe and wait for the right time photograph.  I aim to capture a collection of images in a very fluid way intended retell the story of the wedding day with feeling and emotion but without stopping or interfering with its flow.

As a documentary wedding photographer to me one of the most important aspects of making images is that they appear uncontrived. The rest then comes down to my execution of timing and composition etc.

 To me a successful image is made not taken. Sometimes it’s the composition or timing which add to an images appeal. Other times, a small split second insight into someone’s life or thoughts, small things such as the connection between 2 people, a look or expression, even touch or a laugh. 

As you look through the images  in the galleries and videos keep these things in mind.
